KyoAni Do Fan Days 2017 - Enjoy

As well as the Sound! From Kyoto to the World weekend of the KyoAni Do Fan Days 2017 event I also checked out the second weekend of the event called Enjoy! The World of Kyoani and Do.

Just like the weekend before there was a lot of rain.

Sign at the entrance with the event illustration on it.

A big banner inside as well, just like in 2015. They had expanded the size of the event though, with things also happening on the B1 floor which I've made 2 separate posts about here and here.

I went for the shopping area first.

Lots of goods for sale.

They had displays set up showing all the various goods, including wall scrolls.

Posters and a Sound! Euphonium t-shirt.

Mug, button pins and stickers.

Canvas artwork and light novels.

More light novels, acrylic charms and art books.

And event goods and clear files.

Having learned from the 2015 event, I got there 1 hour before the official opening and got to sit inside on the shopping area floor.

They handed out these sheets where you could mark down what goods you wanted. You could only get 1 of each of most of the items, just like in 2015.

Lots more people had arrived by the official event opening time.

They had more staff managing the queues and splitting people into smaller queues just before the cash registers this time.

Some of the cash registers. They had 15 in total, just like in 2015. Staff took turns picking items off the shelves and handling payments.

They had these small boxes where you returned the pencils you used to mark on the sheets here as well. You can see the shop mascot Baja on it.

Tables where you could sit down after going through the shopping area. There were also a shipping booth here where you could ship the items you just had bought.

Here they also had a smaller shopping area for people who only wanted to buy the event pamphlet and tote bag set.

Event illustration cardboard cutout near the smaller shopping area.

They also had other cardboard cutouts here. The Free ones were really popular, so I couldn't get all of them in the same picture.

But I did manage to get them in 3 separate pictures.

And there were Sound! Euphonium ones.

I got closeups of all of them. Here's one of Nozomi Kasaki.

Mizore Yoroizuka.

Natsuki Nakagawa.

Reina Kousaka.

Yuuko Yoshikawa.

Hazuki Katou.

Asuka Tanaka.

Sapphire 'Midori' Kawashima.

Haruka Ogasawara.

Kaori Nakaseko.

And finally Kumiko Oumae.

This time they had split the exhibition area between the 3F and B1F. You weren't allowed to take any pictures at all of the area in the 3F. I took lots of pictures in the B1F area which I've made 2 separate posts about here and here.

I did buy the pictorial record and message book set which shows some of the stuff on display though.

In the upstarts exhibition area they had keyframe drawings from lots of shows and movies, including A Silent Voice.

Sound! Euphonium.

Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, although they had a separate section on the B1F for OP and ED keyframes like Rikka's finger spin here.

And lots of other shows and movies as well, including some from the upcoming Violet Evergarden.

Other items included background illustrations, like the train station from Free, which I've visited.

And the bridge from A Silent Voice.

They also had a noticeboard where people working for Kyoto Animation had left notes for the fans visiting the exhibition.

Lots of them from animators.

But also ones from other staff.

Outside the 3F exhibition area they also had congratulatory flower arrangements from various companies and groups again.

There were also the talk stage area here, but unlike in 2015 I didn't win any tickets for any of these in the ticket lottery.

I went back down to the shopping area and there were still lots of people in queue to get goods.

Towards the end of the second day a lot of the goods had sold out.

Here's some of the goods I got. The event pamphlet and tote bag set, the pictorial record and message book set in it's cover, an A Silent Voice keyframe collection book, a random clear file out of 10 where I got one of Mai Kawakami from Myriad Colors Phantom World, the normal Kyoto Animation shop bag, the event tickets and pins for each day. The pins were different colors this time so you could just show the pin each day if you wanted to enter different areas.

The event pamphlet had drawings with signatures from the directors and character designers of various shows and movies, including Naoko Yamada and Futoshi Nishiya for A Silent Voice.

Taichi Ogawa and Shoko Ikeda for Sound! Euphonium Todoketai Melody.

And Tatsuya Ishihara and Kazumi Ikeda for Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions the Movie: Take on Me.

No location map since it's no longer there.

This location was visited on 2017/10/28 and 2017/10/29.
