The tank crashes into the building and destroys it in the anime. IF you look closely you can see Girls und Panzer posters on the doors in the image.
There was also a cardboard cutout of Darjeeling outside the ryokan.
Just across the street from the ryokan there was also this Girls und Panzer decorated vending machine.
