Air - Train Station Details

In a small area right next to Kohata Station and the main Kyoto Animation office there's a few details that seems to have been shown at the main train station in Air.

Image from Episode 1 - 18m15s

Some kind of art which you can see on the left side in the screenshot.

This clock seems to be shown as well.

Both in the same shot.

Inside Kohata Station there's one of these water faucets. The station itself is not the same as in the anime though. It's supposedly based on one that's been torn down and replaced a long time ago.

And there's this jungle gym in a kindergarten that's really really close that's shown as well.

The jungle gym, on the right in the screenshot here, was also shown in Kanon Episode 14 - 11m49s

Since I was already here I took a picture of the Kyoto Animation main office too. This time they had posters for A Silent Voice and Sound! Euphonium season two here.

And I went back to the building with the KyoAni Shop.

A Silent Voice and Sound! Euphonium posters in addition to a Violet Evergarden one at the KyoAni Shop. They're supposedly going to move the shop to a new location soon, so maybe I'll check out the new location later in 2017.

No location map since it's just next to Kowata Station and the Kyoto Animation main office.

This location was visited on 2016/10/21.

If you decide to visit this place yourself, do remember that the kindergarten still in use and you should NOT enter it.

Special thanks to the ones who went here before:

Kanon - PV Locations

In the first Kanon Promotional Video that was released there's 2 locations that was not shown in the show itself. This PV is included on the teaser DVD Kanon Prelude that was released in Japan. These locations are close to the tram stop Yamahanakujō Station in Sapporo.

This pet shop is called Ria Pet Shop in real life.

The church in the background is no longer there, but other than that it's a pretty good match. On the left is a 7-Eleven store.

On the other side of the 7-Eleven store is this place that was shown in the show. I've marked the path from the pet shop to the 7-Eleven in the map below.

Kanon - Tram Stops

Here's a few locations near tram stops in Sapporo that was shown in Kanon.

Image from Episode 24 - 13m56s

First up is the tram depot near Denshajigyōsho-Mae Station.

Image from Episode 10 - 11m21s

This is Seishūgakuen-Mae Station.

Image from Episode 13 - 00m07s

Close to Seishūgakuen-Mae Station is also this intersection.

Slightly closer look. The buildings in the back matches, even if the ones in the front doesn't any more.

Image from Episode 10 - 06m20s

This is Nakajimakōendōri Station. Most of the buildings seems to have changed, so only the tram stop itself seems to match any more.

Image from Episode 13 - 00m03s

Here's a picture from Nakajimakōendōri Station of one of the trams that runs here.

Image from Episode 8 - 14m05s

Near Nakajimakōendōri Station is also this building that was shown in the show.

Image from Episode 8 - 14m12s

This is Yamahana Satoh Dental Clinic.

Kanon - Underpass

Next on the list of Kanon places to visit in Sapporo was an underpass shown in episode 8, so I went to the closest tram stop which is Yamahanajūkujō Station.

Image from Episode 20 - 06m40s

At the location of Yamahanajūkujō Station is this intersection which was also shown in the anime.

Image from Episode 8 - 03m31s

View down to the underpass from the bridge. In the anime it's mirrored.

Image from Episode 8 - 03m35s

The concrete walls got the same holes in it.

Image from Episode 8 - 03m42s

And here's the underpass. If you look at the wall art you can see that this has been mirrored in the anime as well.

A bit further down the street from the underpass is also this place.

Building in the background is the same.
