Neon Genesis Evangelion - Tokyo-3

Since it was 2015 it was time to visit Hakone, also known as Tokyo-3 in Neon Genesis Evangelion.

This is Hakone-Yumoto Station. Unfortunately it no longer looks like it does in the anime because they put up a new station building in 2009.

Moving on to the rebuild movies, here's the train to Gora.

A Lawson store in Hakone. Not the same one as in the anime though.

This is the location of Kintoki Shrine where Toji and Kensuke watches Eva-01 fight against Shamshel. There's no red torii gates here in real-life though.

Lake Ashi where Ramiel appears. You can see the red torii gate at Hakone Shrine in the water that is the same.




There's a lot of Evangelion related stuff in Hakone.




This is the Evangelion store at Hakone-Yumoto Station.




Manga and figures for sale.




Various goods.




They also sold Evangelion ice cream and other types of food.




A souvenir shop in Moto-Hakone also had some Evangelion goods.




The Lawson store near Kintoki Tozanguchi bus stop.




They still had Evangelion decorations up inside this store.




If you're heading up to Mount Kintoki, then this is where one of the climbing routes stats.




I also saw these vending machines on the road between Gora Park and Gora Station.

And finally the hotel I stayed at had this Evangelion slot machine.



No map since these are famous tourist attractions.

This location was visited on 2015/05/08 and 2015/05/09.
