This time I also decided to visit the place Hair Make Ishida is based on in A Silent Voice.

This is where Shoya Ishida lives with his family.

It's also a hair salon in real life, but it's called Hair Make Tom Tom and not Hair Make Ishida though.

There's no big barber's pole outside the house here, but there's a small one hanging from the wall.

I also went inside and talked for a bit with the owner of the hair salon and he showed me this A Silent Voice guestbook they had.




I signed it of course.




The closest train station is Ōgaki Station, but it's pretty far to walk. You can get one of these free rental bikes from several locations in Ōgaki to get there easier though. I've marked the path from Ōgaki Station to the hair salon in the map below and a link to the bicycle rental.
