5 Centimeters Per Second - Roadside

At the start of 5 Centimeters Per Second we see Takaki and Akari walking together in a side road. This road is close to Sangūbashi Station in real life.

This place still matches even after all that time.

Some changes here, but the basic layout is the same.

This wall has been made more green with flowerbeds.

The orange awning on the right is still there.

Akari starting running. There's a small park behind the fences here.

This hill leads down towards Sangūbashi Station on the left.

Akari runs towards the right and gets to this train crossing though. This is actually on the opposite side of the crossing since the correct side doesn't match.

This shot is mirrored because there's green paint on the other side.

Takaki gets stopped by the boom gates.

Akari is now accurately seen on the same side as the vending machines.

There's still various construction vehicles parked here in real life.

The road from the beginning is also shown in the last part of the movie.

You can see the Shinjuku Park Tower in the background instead of the NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building near this street light in real life.

The NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building, which is more featured in The Garden of Words, is somewhat visible from the small park next to the road.

The blocks in the background is the same, but there's no flower pots. I've marked a path from this place to the train crossing in the map below.
