This is the only spot on this road that got a guard rail pole with a reflector on one side and one without on the other where there's also a bend in the road.

The road between the guard rails is much wider in real life and doesn't really match. You can see the bottom of the mountain range on the left.
Here's the full mountain in the background. You can also see the bike I rented to get around in some of the shots. ^_^

Since they went to an apple farm in episode 10, I also took some pictures of the apple trees across the road.

There's tons of apple farms like this in Hirosaki. In fact, this city is one of the largest producers of apples in Japan.
