Flying Witch - Nao's House

The house where Nao lives in Flying Witch is based on the former Ishiba Residence in Hirosaki.

The anime shot here is from next to the counter of the store inside and I didn't want to disturb the people there too much, so I only got a picture of the door itself.

They sell sake here, just like in the anime.

This place is actually just north of Hirosaki Park. The bridge in the background leads to one of the park entrances.

Kei notices Makoto and Chinatsu arriving.

They're flying in after buying a broom at the shopping mall.

Nao gets shocked when she sees the flying witch.

This house is a part of the former samurai district in Hirosaki. The Ishiba family who lived here were merchants and not samurai though.

Chinatsu excited after flying.

If you look really closely you can spot a table with Flying Witch items to the right.

Closer look at the items on the table.

Nao still in shock. On the table to the right here they had Flying Witch chocolate cake for sale.

In addition to the cake there also seemed to be some sake samples.

Chinatsu dancing around in the background.

Makoto introduces herself to Nao.

There were still leaves on the trees when I was here, unlike in the anime.

On the right here you can see a Flying Witch poster.

Closeup of the poster. This is an ad for the butaimeguri anime tourism app.

They also had some items left by fans here including this Flying Witch anime sightseeing guide in the bottom left made by the person who's blog I used for info about locations.

I bought one of the Flying Witch pporo chocolate cakes at this place as well.

Flying Witch - Park Shrine

After visiting Hirosaki Castle and a park bench in Hirosaki Park, the last Flying Witch location inside the park I took a look at was Aomori Prefecture Gokoku Shrine.

This is inside the shrine grounds. You can see the white building to the left in the background that matches.

No festival going on when I visited unfortunately.

Just outside the main shrine gate. You can still see the outline of the stall on the ground here.

And a different angle.

This road leads to the park bench area shown later in the same episode.

I also checked out the main shrine area, which seemed to be under renovation, even if the shrine buildings themselves weren't shown in the anime.

The main shrine building. There weren't any ema boards here either.
